How Do I Get Involved?

Tyson House is a shared ministry in which the priesthood of all believers is not only affirmed but realized and enacted. It's in this spirit that we invite you to explore the various ways to get involved in our community. All are welcome, and all share in making Tyson House a place where the transformative love of God is experienced!

Sundays at 6:04

Join us for a free dinner and worship with Holy Communion! This is our primary weekly gathering. Click here for more information.

Thursday Night Transformed

This student-led theological seminar is our largest education offering, meeting every Thursday at 7pm.

Bible Studies and Small Groups

In addition to our two large group gatherings, all students are encouraged to participate in a weekly small group gathering. Small groups offer excellent opportunities to make friends and grow in faith.

Current Small Groups:

  • Monday Night Theology on Tap
  • Freshmen Fellowship Group
  • Chaplains Bible Study: Wednesday Nights at 8:30
  • Education and Bible Study

At Tyson House, we take scripture seriously. That’s why you’ll find an array of Bible studies and small group fellowships meeting throughout the week. We hope you’ll explore our ministry and find a time for study and spiritual growth that works for you. All are welcome at any of our study groups, regardless of prior Biblical knowledge or experience. We’re all in it together, and we’re here to learn! Come and see. If you are interested in participating in or like more information about one of our Bible studies or other educational opportunities, please contact Justin Crisp: justincrisp@me.com.

    Gardening and Grounds

Our beautiful grounds and gardens are maintained by a dedicated garden team consisting of several Tyson House students. Led by head resident, Daniel Lewis, the garden team is responsible for weeding, watering, planting, pruning, and all things landscaping.  If you are interested in participating in these holy activities, please contact Daniel Lewis: dlewis15@utk.edu.
