Ben Gouffon is a lifelong Episcopalian and Knoxville native, who has intertwined theology, environmentalism, philosophy, history, and religious scholarship into his service at Tyson House.
As a graduate of the University of Tennessee, with undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Religious Studies, and a former resident of Tyson House, Ben has a lot of experience and particular thoughts and beliefs that he brings to Tyson House- all of which he hopes make Tyson House a friendlier and more forward thinking space for UT students.
Ben is a chorister, archivist, (would be horticulturalist if it were Medieval times), and hopeful friend to people from every corner of the Earth. If you have questions concerning the study of religion, world history, human philosophies, writing, or directions, he’s the one to call on.
At Tyson House, Ben helps to manage our day to day administrative affiairs, worship preperation, and hospitaltiy. Find him ready to converse at our common room table Mondays through Wednesdays!
